About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Content Acquisition Manager to join our team at Roku. As a key member of our AVOD Business team, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating new partnership opportunities for our content portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities for our content portfolio
  • Support the Global Team in all aspects of content acquisition and licensing for assigned accounts, including deal sourcing, financial analysis and forecasting, term sheet drafting, long-form review, contract negotiation, closing and new partner onboarding
  • Partner with our Content Analytics team to evaluate the profitability of historical deals and forecast future profitability
  • Support the identification of areas of growth for new, innovative partnerships and establish strong relationships with relevant licensors at the decision-making level
  • Work closely with senior-level personnel to prepare strategy documents, company updates, and presentations about the business and the overall media landscape
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in content licensing, content sales and/or business development in the entertainment industry
  • Existing senior-level relationships with Major Studios & Distributors in Mexico
  • A passion for content and a strong understanding of international content licensing & programming content for local markets
  • Strong knowledge of the digital video and OTT advertising landscape in Mexico, including online video platforms and live/linear OTT channels
  • Extensive experience negotiating business terms with media, digital, and/or technology companies
  • Strong knowledge of existing deal standards and ad economics across top AVOD channels
  • Excellent data analysis and quantitative skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfort with a quickly changing, fast-paced environment
  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred but not required
