Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Job Purpose

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the establishment and improvement of our quality management system, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization. This role will support and supervise the quality of our manufacturing processes, ensuring that our Quality KPIs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Hold daily meetings with the quality team to follow up on relevant activities and review status for closure.
  • Develop component and product inspection acceptance and rejection criteria.
  • Coordinate activities relating to CAPAs, NCRs, and SCARs using 8D methodology.
  • Implement and maintain control plans for new and current processes.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate internal audits of the quality system.
  • Participate in the MRB process.
  • Monitor and follow up on waste/scrap projects with the quality supervisors' team.
  • Support internal and external quality audits, including customer audits.
  • Coordinate the non-conforming material area.
  • Analyze customer complaints, field complaints, and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Compile and analyze quality data, identifying trends and causes.
  • Generate and send reports required by corporate, regarding quality.
  • Generate and send deviation requests (MRR) for final disposition of materials and/or products that do not meet specifications.
  • Perform root cause analysis, define action plans, and monitor closure actions resulting from non-conformities from internal/external customers and non-conformities from internal and external audits.
  • Train, develop, inform, and ensure understanding and application of the quality assurance system among personnel under their charge.
  • Create compliance certificates according to client requirements.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with proven decision-making abilities and prior experience managing a team.
  • Highly organized, with strong project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of drawing interpretation, PPAP, MSA, and SPC.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in written and verbal English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in quality engineering or quality systems, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Language: Ingles 80%.
  • Mathematical abilities: Statistics management.
  • Reasoning abilities: Teamwork, knowing how to listen, vision, and oriented to take immediate action.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Package Management.
  • Certificates, licenses, registrations: Industrial or mechanical engineer, six sigma green belt.
  • Other skills and abilities: Experience in control plans, PFMEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Other requirements: ISO 9001 quality system (Internal Auditor and/or Lead Auditor), advanced statistical control.
