Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Marine Corps Community Services. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the upkeep of our grounds, exterior structures, and buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform plumbing repairs, including installing water heaters, garbage disposal units, faucets, and sinks.
  • Conduct carpentry tasks, such as rekeying and replacing digital door locking systems, and constructing or repairing wood or wood substitute items.
  • Maintain the grounds and facilities, including picking up trash and debris, cleaning walks and entranceways, and performing daily preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
  • Operate vehicles to transport tools and materials to work sites.
  • Provide World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy and positive communication.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school.
  • At least two years of experience in a maintenance or repair role, with knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and grounds maintenance.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to dirt, paint vapors, and fumes. Must wear issued protective gear when needed.

During states of emergencies, such as Tropical Cyclones, may be required to stay on site as part of an on-site duty team to assist guests staying at the lodging facility.
