Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Develop, train, and mentor technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Budget Management: Manage the department's budget to ensure the fidelity of equipment and required services for the plant.
  • Facilities Management: Assist with all facilities under Maintenance Topics and Solutions, including setting up new assets and managing work order backlogs.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Analyze downtime results per machine and take corrective actions to reduce downtime and ensure continuity of production process flow.
  • Maintenance Programs: Plan and develop maintenance programs to reduce downtime and ensure the smooth operation of equipment.
  • Quality Standards: Meet La-Z-Boy 5S standards in the maintenance shop and when completing work projects.
  • Cost Reduction: Propose future cost-saving alternatives for projects and initiatives.
Scope and Impact:

This role will have a significant impact on the overall efficiency and productivity of our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities and equipment are well-maintained, which will directly affect our ability to meet production demands.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a production process environment.
  • Skills: Proficient in ERP systems and ERP management, immediate to advanced MS Excel and MS Access skills, knowledge and administration of maintenance systems, and basic English language proficiency.
  • Travel: Up to 20% travel required.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a production process environment.
  • Skills: Knowledge in automation and control, proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Direct Reports: Manage a team of technicians.
  • Budget Control: Manage the department's budget.
  • Production Needs: Attend to production needs and ensure that equipment is well-maintained.
  • Equipment Fidelity: Ensure the fidelity of equipment.
  • Kronos Management: Manage Kronos systems.
  • Spare Parts Control: Control spare parts inventory.
  • Downtime Report and Analysis: Analyze downtime results and take corrective actions.
