At North American Production Sharing, we are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Coordinator to join our team.

**Job Summary:**

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, in exchange for your expertise in import and export activities.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Generate accurate import and export records by comparing identification information and part numbers, weighing or measuring new items for registration.
  • Monitor and review inventories temporarily, submit permit extensions as required with the support of the import/export department to Mexican authorities such as COFEPRIS/SEMARNAT.
  • Identify differences in product types and packaging.
  • Coordinate transportation for imports and exports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an accurate report of imported raw materials versus physical inventory in the plant.
  • Follow up on the creation of purchase orders and coordinate air, sea, or land shipments, keeping a log of shipment status from port to port.
  • Work with purchasing and engineering to create and classify new part numbers as well as changes to BOMs resulting from manufacturing changes.
  • Audit broker documentation to ensure proper HTC code usage.
  • Keep a record of Temporary Imported Assets to Mexico, label, and release new incoming items.
  • Support Accounting with tasks related to asset management, including information requests and log sharing.
  • Support Purchasing activities to ensure optimal transportation means are used.
  • Coordinate with Planning for expedited item delivery when necessary.
  • Support R&D with first-time exports to Mexico, ensuring proper use, ID, HTC code, compliance, and permits.

**Requirements:**

  • Associate degree in import and export or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in import/export, compliance departments, and shipment coordination.
  • Familiarity with processing Federal Express domestic and international shipments.
  • Trustworthiness, honesty, motivation, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical abilities (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Advanced English language skills.

**Work Location:** In-person at our facility.
