About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Big Data Engineer to join our Analytics Tooling team at Zillow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems and tools to support our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable data processing systems and tools using big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions to meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to develop and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in big data and analytics.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in big data engineering and architecture.
  • Strong background in Java or Python programming languages.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
