Job Summary:
The Retail Store Manager at Under Armour, Inc. is a key leadership position responsible for driving sales and profitability targets in a retail store environment. This role requires a strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team to achieve operational and merchandising excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Planning and Execution: Establish and execute a strategic plan to achieve planned sales and key performance indicators.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain operational and merchandising excellence to deliver a customer experience unique to Under Armour.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of sales staff, supervise, and develop their skills to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Customer Service: Act as the leader on duty and consistently model the brand's service standards and selling behaviors.
- Inventory Management: Direct the handling of merchandise, shipment receipt, processing, floor sets, markdown, and replenishment.
- Store Appearance: Maintain a safe environment of a neat, clean, and organized sales floor, cash wrap, and fitting room.
- Performance Management: Evaluate store sales and payroll goals using payroll reports and tools; adjusting schedules as needed.
- Team Development: Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing teammates.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with the management team to align and drive business strategy.
Requirements:
- Advanced Numeracy and Literacy: Advanced numeracy, literacy, and advanced communication skills.
- Language Skills: Fluency in local language and English.
- Business Acumen: Knowledgeable of employment laws, including compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated critical thinking in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years management experience, with a minimum of one year in a sports/apparel & footwear retail environment.
