Job Summary
The Clinical Trial Manager is a key member of our team at ICON plc, responsible for delivering clinical aspects of studies and overseeing the clinical portion of the budget. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical research and the ability to drive clinical deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement monitoring plans and tools to ensure high-quality data collection
- Train and manage Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct clinical trials
- Drive enrolment and study start-up activities to meet project timelines
- Review trip reports and implement corrective and preventative action plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Liaise with sponsors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact clinical delivery
- Provide regular reporting and metrics on clinical activities to stakeholders
Requirements
- 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to drive clinical deliverables of a study
- Subject matter expertise in the designated therapeutic area
- Prior monitoring experience is preferred
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Fluent in English and local language - both written and verbal
