Accessibility Tester

Virtualent is seeking an experienced Accessibility Tester to ensure digital content meets accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test digital content against WCAG standards
  • Utilize browser developer tools, debug logs, and ADB commands
  • Understand W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS
  • Test assistive technologies using iOS & Android devices
  • Experience with Web Accessibility Evaluation Tools
  • Work with assistive technology for accessibility testing (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (OSX & iOS) and Android Talkback)
  • Familiarity with Deque tools (aXe, Assure/Comply or Worldspace)
  • Proficiency in using ChromeVox, Voice over, and other assistive tools
  • Test Mobile apps for accessibility
  • Create documents and write good bug reports
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and iOS/Android development best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accessibility Tester or similar role
  • Understanding of WCAG standards and accessibility best practices
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
