Director - Structured Finance Leader

Fitch Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Structured Finance team in Mexico. As a Director - Structured Finance Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit ratings of local market securitization transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Assign and review ratings on various structured finance transaction types, including ABS and Servicer ratings.
- Model cash flows, review legal documentation, analyze collateral, and prepare credit committee reports.
- Communicate credit opinions to investors and issuers.
- Lead a team of analysts, mentoring and coaching, and guiding them through the rating process.
- Implement appropriate default and cash flow modeling.
- Analyze transaction legal documents to ensure compliance with Fitch's criteria and models.
- Lead rating committee processes for new and existing transactions and loan servicers, and present to internal rating committees.
- Produce quality internal and external written reports with predetermined frequency.
- Lead research projects for Structured Finance Latin America.
- Represent Fitch's views at events and communicate rating rationale to investors and other market participants.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, or a business-related field with a focus in Finance.
- Previous experience in structured finance/securitization is required.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to effectively coordinate development of dynamically changing performance analytics needs.
- Proven database management and macro-development skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal and written, in English and Spanish.
- Quantitative and analytical thinking.
- Attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to actively participate in meetings conducted in English and Spanish and read and comprehend legal documents.
- Team orientation, with ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally.
- An opportunity to acquire knowledge and develop technical expertise across multiple jurisdictions and sectors.
