About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Category Manager to lead our Vendor Management team in Mexico. As a key member of our Retail team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing and executing strategic plans, and building strong relationships with vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a full P&L, including planning, forecasting, and driving growth for the category.
  • Set goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.
  • Drive strategic negotiations with external vendors.
  • Hire, develop, and lead a team of Retail Vendor Managers.
  • Generate and implement big ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and scale within the category and across the Retail business.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration on necessary systems and processes to support business needs.
  • Identify industry trends relevant to customer selection and experience.
  • Collaborate on Marketing and Merchandising initiatives.
  • Innovate and implement new customer and vendor programs.
  • Represent Amazon when meeting with senior executive teams from top vendors and build long-term strategic relationships.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of team management experience.
  • 8+ years of account management, project, or program management or buying experience.
  • Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing, and promotion or inventory management.
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
  • Experience at a senior level in the fashion industry, ideally in an e-commerce, retail, key account management, or consulting role.
  • Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required, plus at least 10+ years of professional background.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
