Key Responsibilities- Lead a high-performing platform engineering team to build, develop, and maintain a robust infrastructure;
- Define and execute the platform strategy, aligning it with business goals and objectives;
- Establish and oversee comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes to ensure product quality and reliability;
- Implement and improve DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability;
- Build and maintain a resilient infrastructure through SRE principles and practices, ensuring high availability and performance;
- Design, implement, and manage the underlying infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage, to support business growth;
- Optimize database performance and efficiency through fine-tuning and performance analysis, ensuring data integrity and security;

- Work closely with developers to ensure alignment and efficient collaboration, ensuring seamless integration and deployment;
- Lead incident response and post-incident analysis to prevent recurrence and ensure business continuity;
- Keep management teams apprised of progress, challenges, growth planning, and incidents regularly, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computing or related field;
- Experience as a Platform Engineering Manager or similar role, with a proven track record of success;
- Background in software engineering, cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and infrastructure, with a deep understanding of testing, quality assurance, DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure management;
- Experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with a strong understanding of database administration and optimization;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong leadership and communication abilities;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively, with experience in cost management and optimization for cloud environments;
- Experience in interviewing and hiring, with a strong understanding of the importance of diversity and inclusion;
- Fluent in English, with intermediate Spanish a plus.
- Experience or certifications in AWS, with a strong understanding of serverless applications;
- Previous experience with cloud security and compliance, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements;
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and design patterns, with experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.
