Global Data Center Engineering Director

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Global Data Center Engineering Director to lead our critical facility engineering team in LATAM. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining critical facilities infrastructure, delivering best-in-class service to our data center customers, and driving strategic initiatives to improve team performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities- Lead a cross-functional team providing asset management expertise, project controls, and escalated site support for critical facility infrastructure.
- Ensure team members work safely, effectively, and with high regard to human error avoidance.
- Provide strategic guidance and direction to drive team results, implement resources to complete projects as required, and manage team completion to Equinix's required standards, KPIs, and SLAs.
- Maintain strong working relationships with assigned site locations, ensure correct processes are followed, and all documentation is complete.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecom, Mechanical, or Automation.
- Fluent English is mandatory; Spanish is a plus.
- Solid previous experience in leading, inspiring, and developing teams of critical facility subject matter experts.
- Maintain and improve Continuous Improvement processes and culture.
- Direct the reporting of key performance indicators.
- Previous experience in managing critical facility disciplines.
- Knowledgeable in critical facility engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Technical expertise in critical power and cooling systems, life safety, and environmental compliance.
- A competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 20% travel allowance.
