Role Overview
We are seeking a SAP Variant Configuration Specialist to manage configuration modifications and enhancements within SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement part or all of the solution for clients, adhering to an established functional design.
- Facilitate the rollout and integration of new business applications and functionalities, particularly in the SAP MM and procurement domains.
- Oversee variant configuration, including the formulation of VC master data, dependencies, and VC prototypes.
- Ensure successful SAP implementation by providing functional expertise, guidance, and training on SAP products to users.
- Collaborate with key users and business partners to identify, validate, and translate requirements into solution designs.
- Analyze and develop functional specifications, communicating effectively with technical developers to create efficient solutions.
- Monitor and report periodic status updates to stakeholders.
- Identify risks and issues, preparing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and proper documentation of processes and specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in SAP Variant Configuration.
- Experience with S/4HANA implementation projects.
- Proficient in formulating VC master data, including characteristics, values, classes, configurable materials, and object dependencies.
- Experience with VC prototypes and variant characteristics.
- Knowledge of configuration profiles, object dependencies, BOM setup, and VC costing.
- Familiarity with logistics execution processes, including outbound delivery processing and transportation planning.
- Understanding of integration with various SAP modules such as MM, QM, CO, PP, PM, WM, SD, and FI.
- Experience working with international teams.
- Knowledge of the implementation project lifecycle, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
- Experience with large-scale ERP implementations.
- Proficient in using project management tools like JIRA.
- Strong communication skills in English (C1/C2 level required).
- Resume/CV must be submitted in English.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.
