The Role

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the total purchases and procurement segment of the supply chain, ensuring compliance with best practices and business goals. As a key member of our team, you will establish and continuously improve the procurement process, eliminating compliance risk and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and implement procurement strategies for all company supplies, including direct and indirect expenditure.
  • Accountable for supply chain improvements, including MOQ, WALT, TDC, credit terms, and inventory management.
  • Guarantee the adoption and compliance of purchasing policies and processes.
  • Promote the best use of company resources through supplier development and contracts management.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives, budget, and quality standards.
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and quality products.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, product quality, innovations, and responsiveness.
  • Continuously evaluate current supply chain and expenditure to identify opportunity areas.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and company policies related to purchasing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, international business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (+4 years) as a purchasing manager, preferably within the food, cosmetic, or pharma industry.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, including strategic sourcing and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems for purchasing activities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, perform cost analysis, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
