Job Description

As a Cloud Architect at Oracle, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will be a guru with strong expertise across the stack and tiers, focused on creating and managing business solutions using Oracle technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set overall technology direction for key areas, investing resources in building internal expertise and leveraging knowledge within the Support organization.
  • Resolve and guide the resolution of multiple complex problems and escalations involving several product areas, while providing consultation to senior technical advisors on projects.
  • Review and advise on areas for self-advancement.
  • Present Oracle solutions and architectures to customers and stakeholders, demonstrating the value of our cloud products, architectures, and new technologies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Managed Cloud Services standards on OCI, providing definitions of standards and best practices to customers.
  • Assist customers with the design of architectures that support the deployment of Oracle PaaS and/or IaaS Services, conforming to Oracle standards.
  • Assist with sizing and capacity analysis and decisions related to the selection of architecture components.
  • Review and validate architectures to ensure they conform to Oracle standards.
  • Act as the technical authority and escalation point for OCI technical issues and decisions.
  • Advise on potential and emerging technologies to support innovation.
  • Recommend new services to complement and enhance OCI architecture, streamlining and supporting applications development and deployment.
  • Work with customers to review planned updates, define the associated deployment of OCI, and identify associated phases of work.
  • Help customers understand the technical and cost impact of any changes, including contractual changes.
  • Create artifacts and documentation to explain architecture design concepts and solutions to various levels of management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • OCI Certifications.
  • Required experience with Cloud Services and Products, including OCI, SOACS, MFT, ODI, OIC, JCS, DBCS, OSB, and WLS.
  • Career Level - IC5.
