JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Risk Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of supply chain operations. This position is responsible for identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate disruptions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and standardize tools, metrics, and processes aimed at achieving supply chain recovery goals.
  • Implement effective tools and processes to enhance supply chain performance.
  • Apply lean methodologies to pinpoint and address root causes of supply chain disruptions.
  • Lead and collaborate with a diverse team of cross-functional resources to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Establish a regular meeting schedule and action item reviews with suppliers flagged for attention by the Supply Chain Risk Management teams.
  • Assess supplier capacity in relation to demand, identify potential issues, and devise and execute corrective actions.
  • Utilize existing metrics and create new ones to effectively communicate progress in minimizing supply chain interruptions.
  • Provide regular updates on progress to Global Operations and Business Unit leadership.
  • Manage emerging supplier issues and relay countermeasures and recovery timelines to key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Serve as a key contact with suppliers, fostering urgency while maintaining strong partnerships.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in purchasing or relevant fields such as project management, planning, or engineering.
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership experience preferred, with a proven track record of building effective teams.
  • Required experience in cross-functional project management.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, capable of managing complex projects across various departments and organizations.
  • Familiarity with commodity management, purchasing contracts, and internet-based purchasing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate operational and financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment and ability to pivot priorities as needed.
  • Proficient in understanding data structures and developing queries for metrics development and reporting.
  • Exceptional ability to influence and motivate team members.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Decisive and action-oriented.
  • Quality-focused and customer-driven.
  • Strong process orientation with a solid understanding of Lean Principles.
  • Experienced in creating presentations, including PowerPoint, for operations and executive leadership.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Fast-paced and dynamic work environment, both in-office and remote.
  • Position may require occasional travel.
