JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Risk Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the robustness and reliability of supply chain operations. This position focuses on identifying potential risks and implementing effective strategies to mitigate disruptions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and standardize tools, metrics, and processes aimed at achieving supply chain recovery goals.
  • Implement methodologies to enhance supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Apply lean principles to diagnose and address root causes of supply chain disruptions.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Establish regular meetings and action item reviews with suppliers flagged for risk management attention.
  • Assess supplier capacity in relation to demand forecasts, identify potential issues, and devise countermeasures.
  • Utilize existing performance metrics and create new ones to effectively communicate progress in minimizing supply chain interruptions.
  • Provide regular updates to Global Operations and Business Unit leadership regarding supply chain status.
  • Manage emerging supplier issues, ensuring timely communication of countermeasures and recovery timelines to stakeholders.
  • Serve as a key point of contact with suppliers, fostering urgency while maintaining strong partnerships.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in purchasing or related fields such as project management, planning, or engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role is preferred, demonstrating the ability to build effective teams.
  • Proven experience in cross-functional project management.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, capable of leading complex projects across various departments.
  • Familiarity with commodity management, purchasing contracts, and new product introduction processes is advantageous.
  • Ability to conduct value analysis, identifying operational and financial performance improvement opportunities.
  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing environments and able to shift priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to develop queries for metrics creation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Decisive, action-oriented, and quality-focused.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Principles, including value stream mapping and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experienced in creating presentations for leadership audiences.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Fast-paced and dynamic work environment, accommodating both in-office and remote work.
  • Travel requirements may include up to 30% for both domestic and international engagements.
