Business Intelligence Developer Role Overview

At Cotiviti - Global, we are seeking a talented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team. As a BI Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that empower our organization to make data-driven decisions.

Data Analysis and Visualization

As a BI Developer, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets to extract actionable insights and trends. You will design and develop visually compelling dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate findings effectively. Your strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools will enable you to uncover hidden patterns and correlations within the data.

Data Integration and Transformation

You will extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources to create a unified view for analysis. Your expertise in data pipelines and ETL processes will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of data to BI applications. Additionally, you will implement data cleansing and quality assurance processes to maintain data integrity and reliability.

BI Platform Management

You will manage and administer BI platforms and tools to support business reporting and analytics needs. Your knowledge of BI infrastructure and optimization techniques will enable you to configure and optimize BI platforms for performance, scalability, and security. You will stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in BI technologies and recommend improvements or new solutions as needed.

Business Stakeholder Collaboration

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Your strong communication skills and business acumen will enable you to provide expertise and guidance on BI capabilities and functionalities to support decision-making and strategic initiatives. You will conduct regular reviews and demonstrations of BI solutions to gather feedback and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization

You will monitor the performance of BI applications and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement. Your expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting will enable you to address bottlenecks and improve query performance. You will implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and address issues impacting data availability or performance.

Documentation and Training

You will document data models, processes, and technical specifications to ensure comprehensive understanding and maintainability of BI solutions. Your strong communication skills will enable you to provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and applications to facilitate self-service analytics and reporting capabilities. You will develop and maintain documentation and knowledge repositories to share best practices and lessons learned across the organization.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and usability of BI solutions. Your experience with new technologies and methodologies will enable you to innovate and evolve the BI architecture and capabilities. You will engage in knowledge sharing and collaboration with peers to foster a culture of learning and innovation within the BI team.

Emphasis on Security and Compliance

You will ensure BI solutions comply with data privacy regulations and organizational security policies. Your expertise in data access controls and encryption will enable you to safeguard sensitive information.

Focus on Agile Methodologies

You will participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Your experience with cross-functional teams will enable you to deliver BI projects in an iterative and incremental manner.

Requirements

  • Fully Bi-Lingual (both written and verbal in English and Spanish).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in BI development, data analysis, or a related role.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing BI solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar.
  • Strong experience with SQL and database management (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Exposure to US healthcare desirable.
  • Proficiency in BI tools and software.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database design.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

Base compensation ranges from $35,000 pesos/mo. to $40,000 pesos/mo. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
