Job Summary

As a Mechanical Engineer at Vertiv Co., you will play a key role in the development of innovative products that meet the needs of our customers. Your expertise in mechanical engineering will be essential in creating and modifying product specifications, ECNs, tests, procedures, user manuals, submittal drawings, and sales literature. You will work closely with our team to troubleshoot escalated or re-occurring field issues and perform lab testing of products. Your strong technical skills and ability to communicate effectively will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain product specifications, ECNs, and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products.
  • Conduct lab testing and troubleshooting of products.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure our products meet the latest standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in engineering product development or support.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts, products, safety, and test methods.
  • Ability to follow, create, and organize testing and instructional procedures.
  • Familiarity with data-entry systems, such as Oracle and Agile.
  • Basic mechanical CAD tools experience, including Solid Edge, Creo, and Solid Works.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex problems quickly and methodically.
  • Ability to work safely and successfully in an electrical testing lab environment.
  • Strong planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in cross-functional global development teams.
