Job Title: MultiCloud Administrator

Corning is a leading technology company that is shaping the future of industries and the world we live in. We are seeking a highly skilled MultiCloud Administrator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The MultiCloud Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and high availability. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, as well as experience with virtualization, storage, and networking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
  • Develop and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business needs and align with Corning's technology standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of complex initiatives and priorities.
  • Provide technical consultation and support for IT projects, including charter definition, benefit analysis, and requirements gathering.
  • Partner with project teams to plan, design, coordinate, and execute comprehensive work plans.
  • Help promote a consistent vision and strategy throughout the organization.
  • Build relationships that foster collaboration and partnerships to drive better strategies, priorities, and service to the customer.
  • Assist and oversee quality change control according to Corning's Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Disaster Recovery Methodology.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in server administration, with a focus on monitoring, patching, incident, and problem management.
  • 3+ years' experience in a production IT environment managing enterprise IT infrastructure, hardware, hosting services, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux server OS platforms.
  • Knowledge of VMware vCloud Suite, including ESXi, Virtual Center, vRealize Operations, and vRealize Automation.
  • Experience supporting a global heterogeneous multi-data center computing environment.
  • A holistic understanding of IT infrastructure, including server, storage, network, virtualization, database, DR/business recovery, and continuity practices.
  • A foundational understanding of public cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and providers (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Demonstrated expertise driving operational improvement and excellence under an ITIL-based service management model.
  • Proven ability to influence and interact effectively with peers and IT leaders.
  • Strong crisis management.
