**Job Summary:**

The LAM Head of Investigations Controls Management (ICM) reports to the LAM Head of Investigations and works closely with FC Investigations Management team to ensure a strong control environment across Investigations verticals, including Level 1 and Level 2 controls. The role holder will further ensure a robust governance framework exists to provide LOBs, Risk Stewards and Compliance stakeholders with sufficient oversight over the performance of the function.

**Main Responsibilities:**

  1. Work closely with FC Investigations Management to recommend and oversee the deliverable of an actionable control management framework
  2. Manage and execute the FC Investigations people, learning and global strategies
  3. Manage and enhance a globally consistent governance framework, co-chairing RIPOC. Provide support to country Investigations teams in LAM and an escalation route to regional and global Investigations forums
  4. Operate strong access control to Investigations domains within UCM, continuing to build out the control framework to ensure the integrity of data within the case management workflow system
  5. Co-ordinate and drive resolution of risk and issue management, Audit, Assurance and Skilled Person/Independent Consultant review and findings, and deliver other appropriate management support required by the Regional Head of Investigations
  6. Lead on the read across process of thematic findings across all regions, escalating in a timely manner to management and put in place remedial activity on globally consistent items
  7. Co-ordinate internal programme related activities for Investigations and manage the contribution to Compliance Transformation programmes
  8. Establish a highly effective offshore service centre to provide administrative support to the Investigations function in LAM
  9. Co-ordinate Internal and External engagement activity relevant for Investigations
  10. Oversee activities over Customer Selection and Exit Management (CSEM) by providing advice, guidance and challenge relating to these risk activities, support ensuring the effectiveness of financial crime risk management through Reporting and MI, risks and issue management, and to the attention of relevant Risk Management and Governance meetings
  11. Ensure that the FCI control environment remains effective

**Requirements:**

  1. Experience working in a financial services institution, understanding of relevant compliance and risk controls
  2. Experience operating in a leadership role, influencing and motivating staff to perform well and raise standards
  3. Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning
  4. Strong analytical, organizational and delivery skills, resourceful, creative and adept at solving complex issues
  5. Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to quickly build and maintain effective relationships - functional and geographical
  6. Highly motivated and autonomous with a continuous improvement mind set and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  7. Awareness of regulatory and in-house operating environment and potential impact upon the function
  8. Ability to lead difficult conversations and reach a decision based on different points of view
