Job Summary

Intel is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Validation OS Engineer to join our Software Architecture Technology Group (SATG). As a key member of our System Software Architecture (SSA) team, you will play a critical role in enabling Intel's broad portfolio of products and technologies across the Linux ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, validate, and debug software across multiple layers of the stack, including firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, and applications/UI.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers across cross-functional teams to deliver an OS Vendor consumable solution for Intel technology adoption.
  • Independently evaluate solutions, determine their merits, and lead deployment.
  • Self-Starter with a growth-oriented mindset, interested in learning the operating system stack and new technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering, or any other related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in working with one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Python, PowerShell, or Go.
  • Developing, enhancing, and automating test cases, from unit tests to end-to-end multi-machine workloads.
  • Working with and debugging unstable hardware, identifying system-level issues (firmware, hardware, or OS).
  • Building on top of IT infrastructure and services to create solutions for a remote Linux engineering environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced English level.
  • Unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in test automation, managing, and automating CI/CD flows for systems (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Familiar with modern QA and Infrastructure deployment practices, along with creating effective communication dashboards.
  • Experience analyzing complex systems and data.
