We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our team of developers, analysts, and testers in delivering innovative technology solutions. Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple projects, coordinate product development activities, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
- Communicate project status to customers, business sponsors, and Tech leadership through regular reports and meetings.
- Support Product Stewardship and ensure projects are staffed effectively and follow Agile methodologies.
- Analyze, estimate, and handle projects from inception to implementation, establishing and adhering to DevSecOps practices.
- Partner with Product owner, PM, and business teams in planning and prioritizing current and future features, staff resources based on project objectives.
- Recommend changes or additions to the project plan and make adjustments to deliver projects as they evolve in scope.
- Stay up-to-date with rapid changes in technologies and provide recommendations to management on strategic directions for software and product development.
- Help plan resources, budget, identify quick wins, and identify process improvements that can be digitized.
- Motivate and train staff to maximize productivity and promote their professional development.
- Staff vacancies based on headcount in a timely fashion.
- Direct the work of two or more associates, exercise authority to hire and discharge, and make suggestions for advancement or promotion.
- Allocate, supervise, and distribute work amongst team members, execute established leadership processes.
- Provide training to team members on department policies, procedures, and processes.
- Receive and respond to team member complaints and concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Create and sustain a high-performance environment through leadership processes and actions.
- Exercise situational leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8 or more years of technical experience with increasing responsibility, including software engineer, SME, architect, and technical lead for large deployments.
- Prior management or technical lead experience leading a team of software engineers and contract staff both onsite and offshore.
- Experience using and managing software assets in modern cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, software architecture, best coding practices, software design principles, and patterns.
- Experience balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. 4+ years of experience.
