We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Security Director to join our team in Central America. This is an exciting opportunity to implement and adapt our Group's security policy to the region's specific characteristics and build a security strategy for the Central America region that aligns with our Group's policies.

Main Aspects of the Role:

The Regional Security Director will be based in our Headquarters in Queretaro City and will report directly to our Human Resources Regional Director. The successful candidate will lead a direct and indirect team based on corporate and industrial sites. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the single point of contact for the Region Management Team for other Anticipation, Prevention & Protection global teams.
  • Acting as a permanent member of the Ethics Committee Region and the Ethic Point Region, ensuring the quality and diligence of ethical investigations.
  • Participating in Region crisis cells for crises falling within your areas of responsibility.
  • In the context of Cyber Security, identifying and monitoring the completion of training/awareness-raising on cyber risks and threats, identifying physical threats to IS/IT infrastructures, conducting a physical risk analysis, and ensuring the operational and monitored physical protection of IS/IT infrastructures.

Daily Routine:

The Regional Security Director will be responsible for:

  • Risk Management: Identifying, anticipating, and mitigating threats specific to the region, ensuring the protection of assets, information, and know-how. Conducting comprehensive risk analyses and sharing findings with the Region Management and Global teams.
  • Compliance: Staying abreast of applicable regulations and implementing necessary compliance measures.
  • Incident Response: Deploying preventive and protective measures in the event of a security incident and analyzing incidents for continuous improvement.
  • Training & Development: Identifying and launching necessary training and awareness initiatives with the support of local Competency Managers and the Learning & Development network in the region.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

  • A university degree in a relevant specialization for the role, with certifications in Physical security and protection being considered an advantage.
  • At least 12 years of experience in the Security domain (protecting people and assets) in a corporate global security department and in multinational environments, with at least 5 years of experience leading teams and managing budgets and financial resources.
  • Solid knowledge of risk management, threat analysis methodologies.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with French language being highly desirable.
  • Personal skills: Pragmatic and connected with the business needs and local challenges in the implementation of the security plans, innovation-driven, updated with the latest technologies and trends in the Security domain, and eager to head the department to the next level.

Success Metrics:

The Regional Security Director will be measured on the following success metrics:

  • Completing the initial training plan in proportion of at least 75% within the first 3 months.
  • Presenting a first diagnostic of the security risks to the Region Director and HR Director within the first 3 months.
  • Organizing a workshop for prioritization of the main security topics in Michelin AMC and design of security initiatives roadmap together with the Security Team and business stakeholders within the first 3 months.
