Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Team Member to join our team at Glidewell Guadalajara. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment throughout our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and empty various trash containers, replacing trash liners as needed.
  • Attend to restrooms, including cleaning and wiping down countertops, sink basins, and mirrors.
  • Mop and sweep floors to ensure all trash and water is removed.
  • Clean and sanitize toilet/urinals, as well as clean and wipe down doors and walls as necessary.
  • Restock toilet paper, seat covers, and paper towel dispensers, and check and refill air freshener dispensers as needed.
  • Clean and dust all appropriate surface areas in break rooms, common areas, and production areas, including countertops, tables, desks, chairs, microwaves, refrigerators, and equipment.
  • Clean and wipe down windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
  • Dust furniture, walls, office machines, and equipment.
  • Clean all floors in stairwells, hallways, office areas, lab areas, and general work areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming.
  • Wipe down stairwell handrails.
  • Inform Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager of any needed repairs to facilities and/or equipment.
  • Restock supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas as necessary.
  • Request needed supplies and equipment in a timely manner to avoid hindering job duties.
  • Follow all safety procedures for use of chemical cleaners, disinfectants, and cleaning equipment.
  • Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while working in locations with a high volume of employees and in areas that require frequent contact with the employee population and general public.
  • Clean exterior common areas around the Company facilities, including building entrances, outside sitting areas, and patio areas as necessary.
  • Maintain hard-surface floor areas by stripping, sealing, finishing, polishing, waxing, and/or buffing using chemical agents and power equipment as necessary.
  • Perform general grounds-keeping duties, including watering plants, sweeping/raking leaves, and removal of dead foliage from planter areas as necessary.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down meetings and special events as necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education level.
  • Previous janitorial experience is a plus.
  • Basic English skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with employees, management, and team members.
  • Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and cleaning techniques.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and flexibility in work habits.
  • Demonstrated prioritization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and understand basic English instructions.
  • Ability to handle pressure of working with a high volume of general public in some locations.
  • Ability to demonstrate safe and correct use of janitorial equipment and chemical products.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to effectively communicate clearly with employees, team members, and Managers.
  • Willingness to work beyond normal work schedules as deemed necessary by Management.
