Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Analyst Senior to join our team in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing suppliers for all products and services assigned, as well as evaluating purchasing strategies to drive cost savings, quality improvements, and delivery enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a category or sub-category of expense assigned within the business, analyzing expenditure and supplier segmentation to improve the supply chain and influence the supplier base.
  • Recommend standardization methods of products and services to generate economies of scale, monitoring and comparing industry information, price, and best practices for the assigned category.
  • Maintain effective communication and manage relationships with key suppliers using SRM tools, developing supplier capacities to seek better prices, quality, and delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs) and their initiatives of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Participate in the generation and approval of purchasing orders to suppliers, directing bidding processes and negotiations with suppliers, and signing and implementing contracts.
  • Solve problems and foresee solutions to different groups within the business, identifying risks and seizing opportunities, developing and implementing savings initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Participate in external and internal audits, maintaining databases and files for all information related to suppliers, assigned categories, and business.
  • Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to next management level, ensuring personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Purchasing Analyst Senior years of related experience in indirect purchases of materials and services, including capital and equipment purchases, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, public accounting, industrial engineering, or computer science.
  • CPSM Certification desirable.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish.
  • Analytical skills to assess risks and opportunities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and certification, training, and/or use of Continuous Improvement/Six Sigma tools.
  • Proactive, with advanced use of MS Office and ERP systems, and business/financial acumen.
