Job Summary

Freudenberg is seeking a highly skilled Tax Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, as well as providing strategic guidance on tax planning and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize organizational tax liability
  • Ensure compliance with changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate changes to relevant business groups
  • Lead Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) tax activity, including reorganizations and due diligence efforts
  • Support the Regional Tax Director on M&A tax activity and transactions
  • Understand and apply Mexico transfer pricing practices and global BEPS rules
  • Responsible for Mexico income tax provisions, including deferred tax accounting and uncertain tax positions
  • Perform final review and direct submission of tax-related documents and filings
  • Lead corporate income tax and VAT tax audits in the region
  • Oversee the work of external tax consultants and related budgeting
  • Work with CFOs and Controllers for direct and indirect tax responsibility for approximately 10 legal entities in Mexico
Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of Mexico tax policies, procedures, and practices
  • Strong working knowledge of direct income tax, indirect tax (VAT), and deferred taxes
  • Experience with transactional work (e.g., M&A transactions)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Accounting and tax planning skills
  • Project management skills
  • Strong Excel and tax software skills
Education and Experience

Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and 10-15 years of tax experience. A mix of Big 4 firm experience and industry tax experience is strongly preferred.
