We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Health Consultant to join our team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a key member of our Environmental Health & Safety team, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients with evaluating contamination and regulatory compliance risks and other environmental, health and safety issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct environmental site assessments of commercial and industrial sites to identify potential risks and hazards.
- Perform due diligence reviews of multi-site portfolios for attorneys, lenders, developers, and industrial clients to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Complete limited environmental compliance reviews of industrial sites by reviewing and abstracting regulatory requirements for multi-media environmental compliance.
- Review site investigation reports and provide conclusions and opinions related to the extent of contamination, recommendations, and development of scopes of work for site investigation activities.
- Prepare technical reports that effectively communicate site findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Formulate conclusions and opinions and communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met.
- Travel to industrial and commercial facilities for site visits, including local and non-local travel, to gather data and assess site conditions.
- Support multiple projects and meet high quality standards to ensure client satisfaction.
- Support client environmental and health and safety permitting activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Complete environmental and social due diligence services for international financing of large infrastructure projects.
- Minimum of a BA or BS in Geology, Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Geologic Engineering), Environmental Science or Environmentally-Related Field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong understanding of multi-media environmental compliance topics and general understanding of Mexican federal and state regulations.
- Classwork or experience with site assessment and investigation, contaminant fate and transport, pollution control and design, regulatory policy, and GIS mapping a plus.
- Willingness/ability to travel up to 40% of the time on average during the year, with valid driver's license.
- Physical requirements of the position may include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
