Ramboll Group A/S is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Senior Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Environment & Health Department, you will play a crucial role in providing state-of-the-art scientific, technical, and strategic risk management assistance to our international client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental site assessments of commercial and industrial sites to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Perform due diligence reviews of multi-site portfolios for attorneys, lenders, developers, and industrial clients to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Complete limited environmental compliance reviews of industrial sites by reviewing and abstracting regulatory requirements for multi-media environmental compliance.
- Review site investigation reports and provide conclusions and opinions related to the extent of contamination, recommendations, and development of scopes of work for site investigation activities.
- Prepare technical reports that effectively communicate site findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Formulate conclusions and opinions and communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met.
- Travel to industrial and commercial facilities for site visits, including local and non-local travel, to gather data and assess environmental risks.
- Support multiple projects and meet high quality standards to ensure client satisfaction.
- Support client environmental and health and safety permitting activities to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct environmental and social due diligence services for international financing of large infrastructure projects.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Geologic Engineering), Environmental Science or Environmentally-Related Field from an accredited institution.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong understanding of Phase I ESA requirements and the due diligence process.
- Knowledge of multi-media environmental compliance topics and general understanding of Mexican federal and state regulations.
- Classwork or experience with site assessment and investigation, contaminant fate and transport, pollution control and design, regulatory policy, and GIS mapping is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time on average during the year, with valid driver's license and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical requirements include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous consulting experience.
- Solid technical writing reviewer proficiency.
- Skilled in data entry.
Personal Qualities:
- Ability to work independently with minimal senior oversight and management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Experience with Federal and State multi-media environmental regulations.
- Good understanding of industrial/chemical manufacturing processes.
