Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Eaton's Vehicle North America (VEH NAA) division is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturing excellence.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Develop and implement efficient grinding manufacturing processes for new products and continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve production-related issues.
3. Analyze problems and lead corrective actions related to machine capability and production rates (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Optimize current manufacturing processes to produce parts according to specifications.
4. Participate in the continuous improvement process of the plant and implement cost-saving measures in manufacturing to reduce waste, including corrective actions that lead to immediate business results. Reduce high-risk priority numbers in manufacturing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) reports.
5. Train and educate operators to optimize the use of new and transferred equipment. Develop and maintain process sheets for each step of the manufacturing process.
6. Support the launch of new products by participating in manufacturing aspects, reviewing and evaluating new products, processes, equipment, and facility proposals, executing installation, runoff, and startup of transferred and new equipment. Complete runoffs and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) on time according to established schedules.
**Requirements:**
1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
2. 5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering, with a focus on grinding processes.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and training in automation, error-proofing techniques, and quality control.
4. Experience with Cincinnati, Koyo, and Nova ID/OD grinders, as well as programming Fanuc and Siemens.
5. Familiarity with OD/ID grinding wheels and quality basics such as statistical process control, capability studies, and gauge R&R.
6. Skills in interpreting mechanical drawings and basic use of CAD systems.
7. Knowledge of machinery functions (hydraulic, electrical, mechanical operations) and quality basics.
8. English language proficiency at a conversational level is required.
9. Green Belt (Six Sigma) certification is a plus.
10. Familiarity with Oracle knowledge in manufacturing processes.
**Additional Skills:**
1. Ability to train operators to use proper methods, write work instructions, define setup techniques, maintain equipment PMs, and track OEE.
2. Ensure Eaton's targets are met with respect to standard philosophies and work practices.
3. Process-oriented with an understanding of business, lean, and quality systems.
4. Strong communication and group presentation skills, with comfort facilitating teams and working with all levels in the organization.
5. Proficient in MS Office toolset.
6. Ability to plan, organize, and build effective teams and motivate others.
7. Ability to facilitate team sessions.
8. Highly motivated and driven for results.
9. Ability to motivate and keep the team focused to achieve expected results.
