About the Role:

The MX Security & Loss Prevention Teams provide investigate support to the Network Losses and Shrink program. The Network Losses Investigation Manager supports the Amazon Loss Prevention team, including data interpretation, trending analysis, and overall department initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a world-class investigation strategy across Amazon MX Supply Chain. Design investigation standards aligned with GSO standards, train loss prevention field members, and serve as a liaison to standardize shrink reduction mechanisms.
  • Initiate, develop, and resolve product loss associated with all Amazon sites in the format assigned to.
  • Develop casework through analytics, surveillance, testing, and proven investigative tactics. Most casework will be thefts and fraud conducted on the road between various distribution points within the Amazon network or last mile between Amazon and the customer.
  • Manage multiple investigations simultaneously while prioritizing and partnering with location resources to effectively identify and close incidents of theft.
  • Assist with the development and creation of exception reports and metrics, which are key performance indicators, allowing for proactive prevention of loss and quick resolution of theft trends.
  • Enhance, track, and report on investigative metrics, which are key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Assist with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud and conduct interviews when appropriate.
  • Identify, promote, and implement security best practices in a designated delivery center.
  • Effectively partner with internal customers in evaluating current and future security services, processes, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate data collection through database polling or data entry from multiple DC; and conduct analysis generating strategic and tactical interpretations.

Scope of the Investigation Program:

The scope of the Investigation program includes: Shrinkage (In-Facility and In-Transit), Concessions and Fraud (Delivered Not Received-DNR and Return without Pickup – RWP), Network Damages, Materially Different Return (MDR), Recoveries, Sellers/Vendor reimburses, and PQVs. In-Facility Shrinkage considers Amazon nodes (Customer Fulfillment, Sort centers & Delivery stations) and marketplaces where Amazon inventory is stored (E-DSP, External fulfillment programs, We Pay, others).

Objectives:

Objectives must be aligned to RoW, Country, and GSO Strategic objectives pursuing shrink reduction programs while mitigating malicious activity across threatening Amazon services.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

The NLI Mgr. is responsible for improving the Country Investigation acumen, training loss prevention field members, standardizing resolution mechanisms, benchmarking best practices across different geos, and communicating the program performance in a standard cadence.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • English b2+

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
