Warranty Cost Analyst

The Warranty Cost Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting customer warranty debit management and related costs within Automotive Central Quality at Continental. This position is responsible for ensuring customer disputes are accurate and within customer terms, with the goal of lowering warranty costs across continental Business Areas.
Key Responsibilities- Independently monitor, check, and validate customer disputes to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer terms.
- Initiate and support customer meetings to minimize customer disputes and negotiate warranty costs.
- Prepare and verify warranty cost using customer-specific data, warranty terms & conditions, and subsequent negotiation with customers.
- Creation of Credit/debit Notes within SAP (WTY-Module) to ensure correct Plant, Order Type, Sales Organization, and distribution channel, including part number specific billing.
- Identify discrepancies within customer debits and clarify resolution with assigned customers.
- Regularly download and collect information from customer portals or direct collection from assigned customers, and perform plausibility checks using developed Excel and other tools.
- Track debit notes to actualize and report warranty cost, including all corresponding savings.
- Prepare and negotiate warranty cost for assigned customers.
- Support Accounts Receivable as needed to ensure proper allocation of debits/credits.
- Regular reporting of cost status to management and internal teams.
- Assist Customer Warranty Team with maintaining central technical factor data within applicable databases.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering Quality Management, or related field.
- MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience.
- Intermediate written and spoken English.
- Knowledge in Finance (accounts receivable).
- Knowledge of quality and debit processes.
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Ability to analyze, capture, and interpret data from various sources.
