Mount Sinai Hospital is a designated Level I trauma center on the west side of Chicago, serving a diverse population with a talented and supportive team of surgeons and staff members.

Salary InformationThe estimated hourly salary for this position is $325/hour.
Job DescriptionAs an anesthesiologist at Mount Sinai Hospital, you will be responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
Your key responsibilities will include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed.
You will also be required to assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a physician
