Constellation Brands is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in Veracruz, Mexico. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing engineering leadership and representation at the site, acting as a liaison between Engineering, Execution, and Operations stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the coordination of engineering deliverables for the site and project(s), ensuring timely exchange of technical information and project-specific design documents with all stakeholders.
- Resolve project engineering issues and remove roadblocks between CBI, the Engineer of Record(s), and our General Contractor(s).
- Oversee the design development of assigned projects, providing weekly updates to Engineering Leadership and Stakeholders on any issues affecting the project schedule.
- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of design releases in coordination with the sourcing calendar for capital projects.
- Facilitate the timely exchange of technical information, engineering standards & specifications, and project-specific design documents with all stakeholders.
- Support the procurement process by ensuring bids are complete and compliant.
- Partner with Budget and Estimating functions to forecast and manage cost of designs.
- Implement and establish the proper means of communication and task tracking with all stakeholders across the project lifespan to avoid omissions, extra costs, or engineering design changes during the project construction.
- Engage appropriate individuals to resolve schedule-impacting issues.
- Review and comment on engineering deliverables for constructability at all levels of detail.
- Provide advice and support to all project leadership throughout the project.
- Responsible for the delivery and maintenance of project information, including issue for construction drawings, bulletin drawings, as-built documentation, federated models, and site-specific master plans.
- Support the evolution and optimization of CBI's "Early Design Management" Program.
- Manage scope growth and ensure proper change management.
- Develop and maintain a positive and trusting working relationship with all stakeholders.
Requirements
10 years of experience in a related field, such as Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or similar position. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate complex problem-solving and drive resolution to schedule-impacting issues.
