We are recruiting a Senior Research Analyst (upstream focus) to join our Corporate Research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building views on corporate strategy, asset portfolio quality and alignment, peer benchmarking, valuation and the energy transition.
About the Role
The Senior Research Analyst will join a global team of research analysts and subject matter experts that create insight and analysis of corporate strategy in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical foundation and be able to model company financials, understand industry metrics, technical issues and economic drivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the energy sector, including corporate strategy, asset portfolio quality and alignment, peer benchmarking, valuation and the energy transition.
- Build and leverage internal and external networks to gather information and insights.
- Collaborate with analysts from our upstream, costs, and commodities teams to develop a market story that is objective, integrated and data driven.
- Communicate regularly with clients to help them in their workflow and identify emerging trends.
- Share analysis through written research and present views to clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong analytical foundation and ability to model company financials.
- Understanding of industry metrics, technical issues and economic drivers.
- Ability to build and leverage internal and external networks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
