**Key Responsibilities:**

Prepare detailed estimates for all design phases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Monitor and control valuations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.

Participate in value engineering sessions to optimize project costs and outcomes.

Develop and analyze change orders, ensuring timely and cost-effective implementation.

Collaborate with the technical team to develop the primary project budget and progress measurement criteria.

Collect and analyze cost market data to inform project decisions.

Support the quotation process, responding to vendor inquiries and providing expert advice.

Produce cash flow forecasts for internal and client purposes, ensuring transparency and accuracy.

Quantify materials and labor for all phases of a project, ensuring accurate cost estimation.

Prepare and analyze cost-benefit analyses to inform project decisions.

Review and revise the project budget after design package issuance, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Collaborate with the creation of the recommendation report, providing expert insights and recommendations.

Participate in weekly project and departmental meetings, ensuring open communication and collaboration.

Issue weekly progress reports on project costs, including forecasting reimbursable expenses.

**Qualifications:**

Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveyor, Engineering, or Architecture.

Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles, with a strong understanding of construction costs and commercial documentation.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and documentation.

Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate with vendors and stakeholders.

Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Commercial awareness and understanding of the construction process, with the ability to identify areas for improvement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Positive attitude and a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Keen to pursue personal development needs and maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field.

Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

**Desirable:**

Working towards RICS membership or recently chartered.

Conversant in all aspects of quantity surveying, with a strong understanding of commercial and technical documentation.

Experience in utilizing software systems, such as CostX, CATO, and BIM Measure.

Experience in utilizing Excel at an advanced level, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.

Experience in utilizing AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of construction documentation and visualization.
