About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Category Manager Packaging to join our team at Givaudan. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing regional category strategies for packaging materials, ensuring alignment with our business plans and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Strategy Development
    • Drive the implementation of regional category strategies within the framework of our global procurement and category strategy.
    • Provide strategic direction and ensure business alignment for local procurement teams regarding category management, sourcing, and contracting strategies.
  • Sustainability and Innovation
    • Lead efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and minimize single-use plastic, while transitioning to a more sustainable packaging portfolio.
    • Integrate our sustainability ambitions within the packaging strategy to improve carbon footprint, reduce single-use plastic, recyclability, and re-usability.
  • Supplier Management
    • Manage supplier performance, identify and implement best practices, and establish a platform for knowledge sharing across the region.
    • Negotiate competitive pricing and favorable conditions for major regional and local contracts.
  • Business Planning and Cost Optimization
    • Prepare initiative plans and forecasts following our business budget cycle.
    • Develop cost reduction projects and provide price forecast and market trends for key commodities and services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or economics is required. Master's degree in supply chain, industrial management, or related is desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations.
  • Previous experience in packaging sourcing or related areas will be valued.
  • International exposure in previous roles.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and SAP.
