Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our Specialty Franchise, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships with medical experts in the respiratory field.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced MSL to lead key activities and progress their career. You will engage in in-depth scientific discussions, presentations, and collaborations to advance our understanding of respiratory diseases.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in medicine and proven experience in the respiratory or allergology field. With 2-3 years of experience as an MSL and expertise in the therapeutic area, you will be able to identify and engage external communities in scientific dialogue, support clinical development initiatives, and establish compliant partnerships with Sales teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with key medical experts in the respiratory field.
  • Identify and engage the external community in robust scientific dialogue that generates insight and advances scientific and medical understanding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support access strategies.
  • Support clinical development initiatives, including site identification, trial recruitment, registry, and follow-up activities across the continuum.
  • Serve as a scientific, clinical, and medical content expert and partner within all areas of Medical Affairs.
  • Establish and maintain compliant, supportive partnerships with Sales teams and other counterparts within the Commercial organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in medicine with proven experience in the respiratory or allergology field.
  • 2-3 years of experience as an MSL and expertise in the therapeutic area (respiratory or allergology).
  • English language proficiency at an advanced level.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Private and Public Healthcare Systems, including guidelines and ways of working of private insurance companies, healthcare organizations, general health council, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel (% varies with geographic responsibility).
