Job Summary

Parker Wellbore is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead our tubular services team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising, operating, and performing preventative maintenance, operational planning, and implementation for casing and tubular running equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead conventional and CRT casing running crews
  • Act as a mentor to the crew and provide guidance and support
  • Operate and maintain tubular handling equipment, including CRTs, casing power tongs, hydraulic power units, and torque monitoring equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and operational planning to ensure efficient and safe operations
  • Lead and conduct safety meetings, including JSA, tailgate, and pre-job safety meetings
  • Conduct competency assessments for TRS Technicians and provide coaching and training as needed
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of TRS Technicians and provide feedback and guidance
  • Build a positive and trusting team atmosphere through inclusion and empowerment
  • Ensure that Quality Standards are met and repair work is carried out according to acceptable standards
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 8-10 years of proven field experience in rig floor/casing handling and running operations with 2 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical applications or past experience in a similar operation i.e. rig operations or casing running activity strongly preferred
  • Strong operational and maintenance knowledge of equipment preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of the operation and routine maintenance requirements of all tubular handling equipment
  • Must have extensive knowledge of products, services, and equipment, knowledge on hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct effective and positive performance development conversations
  • Ability to adapt positively to changes in policies, procedures, and priorities, or work environments
  • Ability and readiness to manage non-routine situations and readiness to make decisions in accordance with company's operational and HSE procedures
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to walk on uneven ground (gravel, rocks, mounds, ice)
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and/or ramps while carrying tools requiring a reasonable degree of physical stamina and agility and involving moderate to severe physical exertion
