Transformative Technology Leadership Opportunity

We're seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Manager to spearhead the development of innovative cloud-based solutions at Capital One. As a key member of our technology team, you'll be responsible for leading a portfolio of diverse projects and a team of experienced developers to create cutting-edge solutions that drive business growth and meet regulatory needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of developers in designing and implementing distributed microservices and full-stack systems
  • Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for our customers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest tech trends and participate in internal and external technology communities to drive innovation and knowledge sharing
  • Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services, and AWS tools and services
Requirements:
  • Intermediate-Advanced English fluency
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 6 years of experience in software engineering
  • At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • At least 7 years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, C#/.Net or Go
  • At least 3 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
  • At least 4 years of experience in open source frameworks
  • At least 1 year of people management experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Agile practices
