About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Analyst to join our Corporate Research team at Wood Mackenzie Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class research and data coverage of the world's leading energy and natural resource companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the energy sector, with a focus on upstream oil and gas.
  • Build and leverage relationships with clients, including integrated energy companies, national oil companies, and investment banks.
  • Collaborate with analysts from our upstream, costs, and commodities teams to develop a market story that is objective, integrated, and data-driven.
  • Communicate complex information clearly and effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and identify emerging opportunities and challenges.
Requirements
  • 2-10 years of experience in upstream oil and gas, oilfield services, energy finance, or strategy consulting.
  • Advanced analytical skills, curiosity, and a passion for upstream energy and its role in the energy transition.
  • Excellent English writing and synthesizing skills, with the ability to put together impactful analysis and create visuals conveying an interesting story.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate a view along with the arguments and data that support it.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment and with ambiguity.
