This position requires strong administrative and professional support services to work with the U.S. Foreign Assistance Program to Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be located in Mexico City, Mexico, and may be required to travel to other locations in Mexico, the United States, and other countries. The primary responsibilities include:
- Supporting INL in the implementation, oversight, planning, coordination, and integration of security and law enforcement, and forensics investigations capacity-building projects for forensic experts, prosecutors, analysts, investigators, and police.
- Assisting and advising INL's Program Officers and Specialists on assessing, evaluating, and improving security and law enforcement, and forensics investigations capacity-building projects for forensic experts, prosecutors, analysts, investigators, and/or police.
- Providing general administrative support and maintaining project control documentation as required by INL's Program Officers and Specialists.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Mexican Citizen or Third Country National.
- Spanish FSI level 4/4.
- English FSI level 4/4.
- Bachelor's degree in law, international relations, law enforcement, criminology, public policy, criminal justice, or forensics-related field, or Associate degree with five (5) years of related experience from an accredited institution, or ten (10) years of related experience in the justice sector, law enforcement, international development, international affairs, or public administration.
- A combination of five (5) years of experience in program management, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a professional setting related to criminal investigations, criminal justice system, forensic investigations, managing law enforcement support and training projects, or program management.
- Ability to pass a U.S. Embassy RSO security background check.
- Ability to effectively deal with senior U.S. and GOM officials.
- Experience in drafting and authoring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
