Customs Specialist

Eaton's ES AMER Sector division is seeking a Customs Specialist to provide support to the Customs Manager in ensuring compliance with Mexican Customs regulations for temporary inventory and import/export activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining certifications and government programs such as IMMEX, PROSEC, OEA, and VAT certification for both legal entities. This role requires strong knowledge of implementing regulatory requirements in a manufacturing/operations environment and attending internal and customs audits. The Customs Specialist will also be responsible for elaborating reports on a monthly basis for Import and Export analysis and overseeing Mexican sites in charge, ensuring compliance with reporting management.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Ensure Import and Export operations are carried out in accordance with programs or based on instructions received and in compliance with customs law.
• Ensure data integrity of Trade Compliance processes.
• Strong knowledge of implementing regulatory requirements in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Attend internal and customs audits and any other requirements from SAT.
• Elaborate reports on a monthly basis for Import and Export analysis.
• Oversee Mexican sites in charge, being in compliance with reporting management.

**Requirements:**

• Bachelor's degree in Trade Compliance and/or Customs Law.
• 1-5 years of experience in the field.
• Fluent in English-Spanish.
• Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas).
• Knowledge of annex 31/24 system.
• Basic auditing skills.
• Balance account reconciliation.
• Knowledge of ERP transactions.
• Ability to improve and update Customs Software.
• Develop efficient interfaces between ERP and Annex 24.
