Job Title: Sr Transport Coordinator

About the Role:

As a Sr Transport Coordinator at PepsiCo, you will be responsible for leading a team of Carrier Management Analysts who interact with drivers daily to provide tracking updates for the business. You will be accountable for the day-to-day people management of the team and will report to a Carrier Management Analyst Manager. Your responsibilities will include supporting the delivery of full-service 3rd-party logistics to drive gross revenue and profit for PepsiCo through the carrier management team. You will ensure carrier quality, timely updates, and issue escalation, and will regularly engage with the carrier operations teams to provide best-in-class load tracking visibility and proactive issue resolution. You will also be responsible for building critical relationships with key team members both internally within the hub and across, inside the function and across Business Units.

Your Impact:

As a Sr Transport Coordinator, you will have a significant impact on the success of PepsiCo's logistics operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the carrier management operations function continually optimizes staffing, schedules, and activities that enable timely and seamless operations. You will interact daily with external vendors to effectively communicate tracking updates for our internal stakeholders, and will quickly engage with business units to identify, interpret, and set mitigation plans in place to ensure shipments are tracked in an accurate and timely fashion. You will also be responsible for understanding marketplace demands through a general understanding of transportation/brokerage practices and complex system technology, and will initiate innovation and development of new analytics and business processes to improve service levels, support new business, and drive efficiency.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. You must have English fluency both written and verbal, and people leadership/management experience is required. You should have a working knowledge of transportation and a supply chain life cycle, and be able to positively influence teams outside of direct responsibility and across multiple business units. You should also have working knowledge of SAP, TMS - BY solutions, and be able to influence leadership and operate in a matrix environment. You should be capable of leading a remote work group and being managed by a remote manager, and utilize technical/functional knowledge that creates opportunities and solves business problems. You should also have proficiency using PC-based applications such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and alternate meeting technology, and be able to identify business issues and generate solutions. Self-starter with attention to detail and solid verbal and written communication skills are also required. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities is a must.
