High-Level Mechanical Engineer for Merida NCC Project

This is a high-level engineering position that requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working on large-scale construction projects.
The selected candidate will work as part of the Scientific Research Corporation team to provide technical oversight and management of the Merida New Consulate Compound (NCC) project, ensuring that all mechanical aspects of the project are completed according to contract requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical inspections of mechanical work and monitoring the contractor's quality control program
- Reviewing project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance
- Supporting the completion of the project in accordance with contract requirements
- Evaluating proposed submittal substitutions with engineering implications
- Monitoring construction progress and submitting weekly progress reports
Additionally, the successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or above, and at least 7 years of experience working on construction projects similar in scope and value to the Merida NCC project. A Professional Engineering License (PE) is also acceptable in lieu of a degree.
Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry. As a contractor for the U.S. Government, this position requires U.S. Citizenship and a U.S. Government security clearance at the top-secret level.
We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $130,000 per annum, depending on experience. The work location is Merida, Mexico, and the project duration is expected to be 12 months with possible follow-on work within the OBO program.
