About the Role

The Head of Procurement Center of Excellence will lead the development and implementation of a global procurement strategy that aligns with Cemex's business objectives. This role will be responsible for structuring and executing a digital transformation plan for the procurement area, redefining strategies and processes to drive an efficient digital business ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a global procurement strategy that aligns with Cemex's business objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a data management strategy, including the creation of a global data hub and the implementation of data analytics tools.
  • Redefine procurement processes and create a digital procurement platform to enable an agile, transparent, and traceable procurement process.
  • Develop and manage a global master catalog of materials and services, improving spend visibility and inventory management through current available digital tools and solutions.
  • Manage a team of procurement professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation of the procurement strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Administration, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration or Digital Transformation or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in procurement, data management, digital procurement, and data analytics, with a proven track record of managing procurement processes and leading digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills to lead and execute complex projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP and other procurement-related software, such as COUPA.
  • Familiarity with AI and digital tools for procurement and data management.
  • Leadership and management skills to manage cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
