At the American Friends Service Committee, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead our country program in Mexico. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing programs that promote peace, justice, and human rights in Mexico.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, with experience in leading teams and managing budgets. You will be responsible for coordinating with regional and global teams to identify new funding sources and negotiate funding opportunities to support program implementation.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about promoting social justice and human rights, and who has a strong commitment to the principles and values of the American Friends Service Committee. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and implement programs that promote peace, justice, and human rights in Mexico.
  • Lead a team of program staff and coordinate with regional and global teams to achieve program goals.
  • Manage budgets and coordinate with finance teams to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, and community leaders.
  • Monitor and evaluate program progress, and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field, such as social sciences, international relations, or peace studies.
  • At least 5 years of experience in program management, with a strong background in leading teams and managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
