Protect and Serve: A Fire Safety Leadership Role

At American Express, we're committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our colleagues and customers. As a Fire Safety Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of fire safety programs across our regional offices, buildings, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee Fire Safety Coordinators responsible for implementing and managing local fire safety programs.
  • Implement, manage, and administer all fire safety-related programs and procedures at American Express facilities.
  • Assist the Director in managing the administration of the global fire safety program.
  • Ensure each AXP facility is compliant with all local fire safety laws and ordinances.
  • Represent American Express as the primary company representative to the local fire department.

Requirements:

  • Previous fire safety management experience required; at least 10 years combined experience in fire safety management, fire chief/captain, fire marshal, fire inspector, or occupational fire safety.
  • Professional certification in fire safety (NFPA or similar) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in fire science, fire safety/prevention, administration, occupational safety, or related field required.
  • Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of Slack, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler, fire suppression, fire detection, and fire alarm systems.
  • Significant multi-tasking ability required to manage high-volume work projects and processes.
