At Acero Prime, we are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join our team as a Quality Process Developer. This is a comprehensive role that requires expertise in steel metallurgy processes, quality defects, and their causes, as well as properties of steel such as tensile strength, elongation, and R & N Value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve quality processes to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and client expectations.
- Implement quality management systems to monitor product and process quality.
- Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Ensure workflows, processes, and products perform to standards and regulations.
- Review new projects and releases of part numbers, processes, and services for operation requirements and implementation.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance.
- Develop and implement quality control systems.
- Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues.
- Identify, investigate, and manage risk opportunities using advanced quality tools.
- Manage suppliers to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
- Fluency in English.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar position or industry.
- Strong expertise and knowledge of steel metallurgy processes, quality defects, and their causes, as well as properties of steel.
- Desired experience in welding and steel heat treatment processes.
- Extensive experience in a quality assurance environment.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and quality techniques, including SPC, PFMEA-Control Plan, PPAP, 8D problem-solving, APQP, MSA, Capability Analysis, and Problem Solving.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM/IATF 16949/ISO900 Standards.
- Knowledge of Automotive Standards and Supplier Quality Manuals.
- Management skills, negotiation, problem-solving.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a team environment.
